Wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and monitoring

Merazonia is a dynamic wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre located on 250 acres of Amazon rainforest, near Mera, Ecuador, South America.

We combine passion for nature with a professional approach on animal care and release, along with rainforest conservation and wildlife monitoring.

Volunteers help us in the day to day care of the wildlife.

With the support of Giving Way Ecuador we are looking to raise $30,000 to build an innovative open-air enclosure for our woolly group. It will be 1500m² and will encompass large trees, vines and natural structures - the next best thing to being wild! The enclosure will also play a vital role in the rehabilitation of other species in the future. Learn more here

Donations are vital for the animal care and release projects of Merazonia. For the wellbeing of the animals we do not receive tourists in our reserve, nor do we get any governmental funding. You can help by adopting an animal or become a donor.
